Mailing lists. There are a number of services that maintain large business and consumer mailing lists for use in direct marketing campaigns. Business lists can be targeted by sorting the leads based on industry, geographic location, business size, likelihood to purchase, and credit history. Consumer lists are sorted based on age, income, credit history, likelihood to purchase, DMA (Direct Marketing Association) Compliance and a variety of other factors. In some cases these companies offer the lists on a pay per use basis, and in other cases they offer unlimited downloads for a monthly subscription fee.

Lead Generation Services.   There are a number of companies that specialize in industry specific, targeted sales lead generation. These companies offer actively maintained lists of fresh leads and offer access to sales organizations on a subscription or pay-per-use basis. In some cases the leads may be shared, in which case the customer may already have been exposed to solicitation. In other cases (usually with higher subscription fees) lead lists for which you have sole access can be purchased.
