Sales Leads.   One of the biggest challenges in sales is the generation of fresh customer leads. When identifying potential customers, there are a number of important factors to consider. An ideal lead will have recently demonstrated a greater likelihood to purchase, perhaps by purchasing a related product. Additionally, a fresh lead should include updated contact information, should satisfy do-not-call list or DMA (Direct Marketing Association) compliance and other regulations, and should have an acceptable credit history.

Lead Generation Services.   There are a number of companies that specialize in industry specific, targeted sales lead generation. These companies offer actively maintained lists of fresh leads and offer access to sales organizations on a subscription or pay-per-use basis. In some cases the leads may be shared, in which case the customer may already have been exposed to solicitation. In other cases (usually with higher subscription fees) lead lists for which you have sole access can be purchased.
